I’m writing to thank you for bringing Ka’et Dance Ensemble to our NYU Tisch Dance Department on Wednesday, Feb 7th. The lecture demonstration was extraordinary, opening a doorway to the subject of orthodox Jewish identity and spirituality in movement, in the context of Israeli dance. It was a pleasure, also, to have an opportunity to bring the Israeli Cultural Consul into our NYU Dance community. Please convey our deep gratitude to Ronen and his remarkable company for this experience. As a sign of the cross-cultural reach of this work, several of our faculty and students also attended the evening performance at the JCC, including an African American Masters student, who brought her daughter, and dance writer/choreographer Wendy Perron, both of whom raved about the evening. We are pleased that we continue to build on our relationship with the JCC Manhattan, and hope to continue interweaving programming and study
I hope this email finds you well. On behalf of the Jewish Funders Network and IDEA International Development Accelerator, I'd like to thank you and express our appreciation for your participation in the JFN Conference Site Tour last week.
The content you provided was fulfilling, meaningful, and contributed to a productive day of visits. Participants on the tour appreciated the information and performance you shared and the way it was presented to the group.
We look forward to staying in touch, wishing you a wonderful week!
Thanks again for your session with our students. Your work with us has certainly resonated - generating great conversation and more curiosity about dance in Israel, Jewish religious practice and life in Jerusalem.
